The day begins with a visit to the Santuario della Santissima Trinità (Sanctuary of the Holy Trinity), the Montagna Spaccata (Split Mountain), the Chapel of St. Philip, and the Grotta del Turco (Turk’s Grotto). You will discover the ancient origins of Gaeta—from the myths of Ulysses and Aeneas through the Roman era, up to the Turkish raids that plagued the area between the 15th and 16th centuries.
The tour continues with a walking tour of Gaeta, where the city’s history comes to life through its most iconic monuments, including the Santuario della SS. Annunziata and its breathtaking Golden Chapel, the Temple of San Francesco, and the Cathedral with its magnificent bell tower.
